“What am I good at?” he asked. “You tell me what I’m good at because I don’t know. I don’t know what to do when I’m done here. I just live in the present.” That’s what he said.
“I want to help children,” she said. “I want to build orphanages and work with children. I also would love to sing; I’m just afraid of singing in front of people.” That’s what she said.
“I can’t do it,” he said. “I can’t do what you think I can. My life isn’t going to change – it just won’t.” That’s what he said.
“There are 3 kinds of people in this world: people who suck, people who don’tsuck and people who really suck.” That’s what he said.
Every one of these quotes has something in common – they are all true. The days when I think “I can’t” I tend to find I’m right. READ THIS CAREFULLY: I can’t = I cannot = I can not. I have the ability and the right to choose to NOT do the thing I really enjoy. The days I think “I can” ring true for me as well. The days when things look down and I can’t find the Real me – the me that lifts myself up – I have two options: can or can’t. When I think “I can,” but don’t know how, I turn to a friend, mentor or a healthy release – a healthy surrender. I find some way to get a different perspective on my thoughts even if that means letting go for a while and let my mind be free. This can mean the difference between winning and losing, between finding yourself and getting lost in the Abyss.
That’s what I say.
