Sometimes we think we’re ready. We’re in so much hurt, so much pain, so much fear that we must be ready for a change. Right? We don’t want to keep giving to someone who only takes. We don’t want to put ourselves through the same miserable scenario every day. We don’t want to feel unsafe I our own skin. We don’t want to be taken advantage of or to be the one who takes advantage of anyone (or everyone) else.
But guess what? Just because we don’t want it doesn’t mean we’re willing to take the actions required to actually get what we do want. Changing our actions is the only way we can get what we want and get rid of what we don’t want.
So, the next time you find yourself saying, “I don’t want this,” try asking yourself if you’re willing to change your actions this time.
